Being on of the most common items in the rigging industry, where a eye bolt is needed as an anchor point for lifting or pulling make sure you make the right choice of bolt for safety reasons.

You should be aware of a few guidelines:

  • Use regular patter eyebolts should be used for straight line pulling only.
  • Don’t use if the eye has been bent on your bolt.
  • Make sure the have a look at the thread and bolt to make sure it’s not cross threaded but properly threaded prior to use.
  • To make angular lift use a shoulder eye bolt instead of a regular patter bolt.
